Didier Drogba reveals the role he played in Chelsea signing N’Golo Kante (Metro)

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revealed he played a pivotal role in the London club signing N’Golo Kante back in 2016.

Chelsea acquired Kante from Leicester City following his remarkable efforts during the Foxes’ 2015-16 Premier League-winning season.

The Frenchman then joined the Blues for a reported fee of £32 million in the summer of 2016, and has since won the Premer League and FA Cup with the club.

And Drogba, who played for Chelsea between 2004-12 as well as the 2014-15 season, insisted he advised the club to sign Kante years ago.
