Dimitar Berbatov believes Manchester United need at least one centre-back in the January transfer window.
Jose Mourinho is eager for a busy winter window, but is reportedly being frustrated by the club’s transfer chiefs.
The United boss is targeting several defenders with recent claims and £80million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly has already been rejected.
Berbatov, a two-time Premier League winner with United, urged the Red Devils to back Mourinho in the market.
‘They need to reinforce at the back especially centre-backs, one or two,’ he told the Mirror.
