A former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has picked the N1m Expression of Interest form of the Social Democratic Party in order to contest for the Presidency on the platform of the SDP. Duke revealed this when he visited the national secretariat of the SDP in Abuja on Tuesday. The former governor, while addressing journalists, said he was a loyal member of the Peoples Democratic Party for 20 years but decided to leave after the party lost focus. Read more
Over 4,000 bus conductors register for training, accreditation in Lagos (Punch)
More than 4,000 members of the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria have registered with Lagos State Drivers Institute for training and accreditation. Mr Isreal Adeshola, President of the association, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Tuesday. Son smashes stabilizer, wooden stool on mother’s head (Punch)
An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate Court, Lagos, on Tuesday remanded in prison a 29-year-old man, Taiwo Akinola, for smashing a stabilizer on his mother’s head. The accused is facing an attempted murder charge. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. O.A.
