President Trump stunned advisers and weather forecasters, after incorrectly claiming that a deadly hurricane would hit Alabama.
The commander-in-chief also denied he had ever heard of a ‘category five storm’, a claim he has made on at least four separate occasions.
He made his claim in reference to the path of hurricane Dorian, which has left five people dead and caused ‘unprecedented’ damage in the Bahamas.
Although the storm has stalled over the Bahamas, it is ‘dangerously’ close to the US east coast, with over a million residents from Florida, Georgia and South Carolina being evacuated. Read more
