Donald Trump has claimed the US will cure Aids and childhood cancer ‘very shortly’.
The President made his comments on during the 2020 election campaign trail despite slashing the National Cancer Institute’s budget by $900 million.
He did not mention this in his speech.
The President gave no indication how soon he wishes to achieve something researchers have spent decades attempting to do. Read more
