Simone Johnson, the daughter of WWE legend and Hollywood superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has made her NXT live debut.
Dwayne’s eldest daughter signed with WWE in February 2020 when she was unveiled as the newest trainee at the company’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Since then, Simone has undergone a transformation as she prepares for her television debut.
In May Simone revealed that she would now be known as Ava Raine and last month she showed off a hair transformation with a new black and red hairstyle.
On Sunday (July 10), Simone made her debut in front of WWE fans at an NXT house show in Orlando, Florida.
Simone cut a promo in the ring where she referred to herself as the ‘Final Girl’ and called out NXT 2.0 Superstar Cora Jade.
Her signing with WWE made Simone the company’s first fourth-generation Superstar, with her father (The Rock), grandfather (Rocky Johnson) and great-grandfather (High Chief Peter Maivia) all having been wrestlers.
Back in February 2020, WWE shared a video of Dwayne visiting the Performance Center to give advice to the future Superstars and watching their training.
Simone also had the opportunity to train in the ring with her dad when he stopped by for the visit.”
It was great because he got to see everyone there,” Simone said at the time. “He got to see how our culture is here, and then obviously I love spending time with him but to be able to train with him and do something I know we both love, it was great.” (DigitalSpy)
