Ed Sheeran has helped one couple begin their life of wedded bliss, after helping a young man to propose to his girlfriend.
The proposal came during an intimate concert he gave for fans on Monday night and during his song Perfect, he stopped his performance and asked the audience to be quiet because a man wanted to ask a very specific question.
Matthew Reed, 34, a care worker from Bedford then asked his girlfriend Rebecca of four years to be his wife.
After quickly saying yes, Matthew rose to a tumultuous applause and Ed performed the rest of the song.
Despite the romantic gesture however, Ed has continued to refuse to discuss his wedding to Cherry Seaborn, months after seemingly confirming the marriage by holding up his wedding band during an interview.
‘It’s not my life anymore, it’s hers,’ he said, admitting that he doesn’t like to speak on their relationship as it doesn’t just affect him. Read more
