Eddie Hearn tells Tyson Fury not to fight before Anthony Joshua clash

Eddie Hearn has warned Tyson Fury that taking a fight before a huge unification bout with Anthony Joshua would be a pointless exercise and should be avoided.

WBC champion Fury and Joshua, who holds the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts, are expected to put all the gold on the line in a mammoth fight next year in late spring or summer.

Before then, Joshua defends his belts against Kubrat Pulev on 12 December, and while Fury was expected to fight next month as well, that plan has now been scrapped.

It has been mooted that the Gypsy King will fight in the first quarter of 2021 instead, but Hearn does not want to see that happen as he sees absolutely no need. (Metro)
