Eden Hazard tells Chelsea board to honour their ‘promise’ over Real Madrid transfer (Metro)

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has told the club’s board to honour their commitment of allowing him to join Real Madrid this summer.

The Belgian was keen on leaving the club after the World Cup in 2018 and admitted earlier this season that he had told the Blues of his desire to leave.

However, Maurizio Sarri convinced Hazard to stick with Chelsea for one more season and the club made it clear that they would not stand in his way should he decide to pursue a dream move to Real Madrid, according to the Sun.

Zinedine Zidane’s return to the Bernabeu has convinced Hazard to join Madrid this summer but Chelsea are holding out for a fee of around £100million. Read more
