Edo State International Film Festival trains hundreds of eager participants 

The ongoing Edo State International Film Festival (ESIFF), in its bid to drive growth in the creative industry through the arts by the Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs) has equipped young Nigerians with the fundamentals needed to thrive in the industry.

On the second day of the ongoing festival, training and growth opportunities from top industry stakeholders were facilitated through panel sessions and master classes.

The seesions continue today, Thursday 4 September on the final day with actor and lawmaker Desmond Elliot as well Etinoso Idemodia at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and intending participants can still register at  https://www.edofilmfestival.ng/

Speakers at the Industry panel session include the Executive Governor of Edo State,  Governor Godwin Obaseki, Tobias Wolfgarten, Head of Department, Skills Development for Youth Employment, Victor Aghahowa, Movie Producer/Director; Mary Njoku, Chief Executive Officer, Rok Studios, and Ambassador Lancelot Imaseun, renowned Filmmaker and Producer. The session was moderated by the Covener and Co-Chairman of the festival, Ukinebo Dare. 

Other sessions include various master classes that were held on different facets of movie creation. They include Acting for the Screen and Theatre facilitated by Isreal Meriomame Wekpe, Actor- Trainer, Director, and Academic Media Practitioner; Building a career in content creation, facilitated by Onye Ubanatu, Award-winning Content strategist and Smart Phone movie making, facilitated by Ike Nnaebue, Cinematographer and Filmmaker. 

The ongoing festival is being attended by over 5,000 delegates and is expected to enhance the development of the films industry in the state and beyond. This event is sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development
