EFCC won’t relent in anti-graft fight – Magu (DailyTrust)

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has said that fighting corruption is the only way to guarantee the future of Nigeria as a country, hence the commission will not relent in the fight.

Magu, who spoke during a meeting with journalists in Kano, said while those involved in corrupt practices were fighting back, the commission would continue to identify, arrest and prosecute corrupt people, no matter how highly-placed. He described as mere rumors, stories that the agency was deliberately delaying prosecution of its cases, adding that from January to date, it had prosecuted 146 cases in different courts across the federation.
