Following public outcry over the alleged brutality of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives, the police authorities have set up a six-member team to receive and investigate petitions against the squad. The Public Complaint Response Team on SARS whose membership was drawn from the police, civil society groups and the private sector, was set up by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Wednesday.
