#EndSARS: Police set up team to investigate operatives (Punch)

Following public outcry over the alleged brutality of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives, the police authorities have set up a six-member team to receive and investigate petitions against the squad. The Public Complaint Response Team on SARS whose membership was drawn from the police, civil society groups and the private sector, was set up by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Wednesday. Members of the team include the IGP X-Squad, IGP Monitoring Unit, Force Public Complaint Bureau, Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, a non-governmental organisation, the Nigeria Policing Programme led by Prof. Olu Ogunsakin and a civil society coalition, EnoughIsEnough.
