Faithful dogs wait at hospital door as owner is treated (Metro)

They say dogs are man’s best friend and these four definitely proved that to be true, after being pictured waiting for their homeless owner to leave hospital.

On Sunday, a homeless man named César was admitted to the Regional Alto Vale Hospital for treatment for an ongoing health condition.

His nurse, Cris Mamprim, noticed that he did not come to the hospital alone. In fact, his group of dogs refused to leave the building’s entrance until they saw he was OK.

César told the nurses about his dogs and admitted he had often gone without food in order to make sure his pets were well-fed.

Writing on social media, Ms Mamprin said: ‘I don’t know what his life is like, because he’s on the street, and I don’t even want to know and judge him, but I admire the respect and love he has for them.’ Read more
