A Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered a fake reverend father, Oche Sunday, to be remanded in Kuje for alleged impersonation and cheating.
The suspect was arraigned for impersonation, cheating, and fraudulently obtaining a degree contrary to sections 132, 322, 176 and 319 of the Penal Code Law.
The prosecutor, Barr AA Tanko, said one Israel Thomas, of Adamawa State reported to the police area command in Gwagwalada that the suspect, who claimed to be a priest and resides at Dani-Babota in Kwali Area Council, collected the sum of N106,000 from him. The presiding judge, Adamu Isah, ordered the suspect be remanded in Kuje till 10th March. Read more
