Fayemi’s ex-commissioner escapes assassination (Nation)

Former Commissioner during the first term of Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State, Mrs Funke Owoseeni, on Thursday, escaped being murdered by suspected assassins who lay siege on her house located at Ijesa Isu in Ikole Local Government area of the state.

The suspected miscreants attacked her husband, Mr Paul Owoseni with dangerous weapons and his five fingers diced into pieces.

Mrs Owoseeni also served as the Caretaker Chairman of Ikole Council area and she was at a time the Women leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ekiti State.

Speaking with journalists through telephone chat in Ado Ekiti on Friday, Mrs Owoseeni, said the assailants stormed her house along Ikole road at about 8.30pm and turned off the generating set outside, thereby subjecting the hitherto well- lit environment into absolute darkness. Read more
