The land dispute between the authorities of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and Daar Communications Plc, owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT), took a different dimension on Tuesday when the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) pulled down the gatehouse and fence of the television station.
Though there was little or no resistance from the Daar Group, Tony Akinotun, the Group Managing Director, said their position would be made known soon.
Daily Independent learnt that during the November 2018 reconciliatory meeting, the duo had mutually agreed to reach an out-of-court settlement that would bring about a permanent solution so that the authorities could forge ahead with the development of the FCT and the nation. Read more
