Popular hilarious skit stars, Mr Macaroni and Broda Shaggi have adapted their characters to stir laughter ahead of the release of new TV comedy series, Ile Alayo.
Ile Alayo, a joint production of StarTimes and Femi Adebayo, is set to make its debut on StarTimes’ ST Nollywood Plus channel on December 6 and run throughout the month.
Following the release of the series’ trailer Mr Macaroni and Broda Shaggi have stood out from other members of cast that include prominent actors and comedians.
Ile Alayo is a comedy series adapted from a comedy movie of the same title.
Other member of cast of the new TV series include Odunlade Adekola, Mercy Aigbe, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Lateef Adedimeji, Dele Odule, Femi Adebayo, Ebun Oloyede, Cute Abiola, Olaiya Igwe, and Woli Agba.
According to Adebayo, the series will borrow heavily from the original storyline of the movie, stressing that it will centre on humourous characters with conflicting behaviours.
“Ile Alayo has so many comedians. The concept is about a ‘face-me, I face-you’ house where so many characters with conflicting behaviours and attitudes live. The occupants of the house include a Muslim cleric, a prophet, a man that sells Indian hemp, prostitutes, a retired soldier and cybercriminals,” he said.Adebayo also noted that with the success of Ile Alayo as a home video, there has been a great demand for it to come back as a TV series.
