FG to re-open schools for JS3 and SS3 students as interstate movement begins July 1

If you have children in JS3 and SS3 then get ready to ship them back to school soon.

The Federal Government has approved safe resumption for children in exit or graduate classes. Day and boarding schools are to re-open for students in these classes. Further details are to be communicated.

The Common Entrance examinations will also hold as soon as it is determined that it is safe and feasible to do so.

The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 has released new guidelines and regulations following the presentation and approval by the President of an extension of Phase 2 by 4 weeks all the way to July 27th.

Under the new rules interstate movement will begin July 1st but must operate outside curfew hours and maintain new vehicle occupancy rules of 50%.

Domestic flights will resume as soon as it feasible to do so.

Mass gatherings are still banned.

Funeral gatherings must not exceed 20 people.

Event and entertainment centers remain closed.

Government offices to open between 9am and 2pm daily.

Face masks remain mandatory and a “no mask/no service” policy is encouraged.
