LAGOS – The first Lady Dr. Mrs Aisha Buhari at the Presidential Villa Abuja at the weekend conferred a ‘Future Merit Award’ on the commander of the IGP’s special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari and his team.
Presenting him with a plaque of recognition Dr Buhari said the award was in recognition of his team’s Gallantry and Diligence in the Discharge Of duties in Curbing Crime in Nigeria.
Kyari and his team were specifically appreciated for the Arrest of Nigeria’s most notorious kidnap Kingpin Evans who happened to be the most deadly kidnapper in the history of the nation.
The team was also appreciated for the arrest of hundreds of kidnappers terrorising Abuja-kaduna-Kano Expressway moreso the arrest of the Boko Haram Terrorist who Kidnapped the Chibok School Girls and Coordinators/Kingpins of the Terrorist Group responsible for multiple suicide bombings in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States among many other achievements.
