Four persons reportedly died in a lone accident involving a DAF truck which occurred on Friday opposite Romania Trailer Park along the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway. Ekiti seals Two houses allegedly owned by Fayose (Nation)

Two new buildings allegedly owned by former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose have been sealed by agents of the state government. The state government through the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Physical Development, said the twin duplexes were sealed for lack of approved plan and permit. The buildings, which are adjacent the official residence of the Deputy Governor, are located in the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ado-Ekiti within the precincts of the Government House. The Nigerian army has discovered a shallow grave in where the missing immediate past Chief of Administration (Army, retired Major General Idris Alkali, was killed and buried. General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Major General Benson Akinroluyo, in a press briefing in Plateau state on Friday, said the army’s search team discovered the grave while on nsearch for the missing general. The Catalyst for Global Peace and Justice Initiative (CPJ) has said the lecturer, Andrew Ogbuja, and his son, Victor, responsible for allegedly raping 13-year old Elizabeth Ochanya to death in Benue State must not go unpunished. Ekiti lawmaker shot by unknown gunmen (Nation)

A member of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Michael Adedeji, is now battling between life and death after being shot in the head by unknown gunmen. Adedeji was waylaid in the early hours of Friday while traveling along Ikere-Akure Road by the gunmen who opened fire as he made an attempt to escape from the scene. The lawmaker who represents Ekiti Southwest Constituency 2 was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) for intensive care. Read more

Soldier brutalises journalist at Port Harcourt International Airport (Punch)

Motor boy crushes police inspector to death in Lagos (Punch)

The family of late Sodiq Obasa, a police inspector who was allegedly killed by a motor boy, Moruf Popoola, in the Trade Fair area of Lagos State, has demanded justice for him. Obasa’s younger brother, Moses Peters, told PUNCH Metro that the motor boy, whose boss’ truck was impounded for committing an offence, allegedly crushed the inspector to death in a bid to escape with the truck. Fake prophet, other arrested for fraud (Punch)

Two men, Ayo Jimoh and Abdulahi Jubrila, have been arrested by the police for defrauding a woman, Mrs Comfort Macaulay, of N1m. Jimoh was also accused of parading himself as a prophet. It was gathered that Jimoh informed Macaulay that she was in danger and she needed to offer some money to the Holy Spirit. It was learnt that 45-year-old Jimoh collected N266,000 and two gold wedding rings valued at N750,000 from Macaulay. Read more
