Frank Lampard has confirmed Hakim Ziyech suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s Premier League victory over Leeds United.
Blues summer signing Ziyech pulled up in the first half of Chelsea’s 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening and was replaced by Christian Pulisic.
Asked for an update on Ziyech after the victory, Lampard said: ‘It was his hamstring, he felt it go. ‘We will have to find out how serious it is over the next few days, but it’s obviously disappointing going into a busy period.’
Chelsea were forced to come from behind against Leeds after former Blues player Patrick Bamford rounded Edouard Mendy and slotted home. (Metro)
