Funke Akindele has broken the record of being the first Nigerian to hit one billion naira gross in the box office with her blockbuster movie, A Tribe Called Judah.
The Nollywood actress and filmmaker’s movie is the fastest movie to hit one billion at the box office, the highest-grossing film of all time, and the highest-grossing Nollywood director of all time.
There has been wild jubilation online as Nigerians took to their respective social media pages to celebrate Funke Akindele’s milestone in the movie industry.
According to Wikipedia, the box office line-up asserts that Funke Akindele has made a whooping one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one naira.
Presently on the Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table, Funke Akindele’s movies, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga are respectively the highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time.
According to the box office chart, Funke Akindele’s A Tribe Called Judah, Toyin Abraham’s Malaika and Mercy Aigbe’s Ada Omo Daddy are respectively the highest-grossing screening movies.

Battle on Buka Street netted N640 million at the box office, beating Omo Ghetto the Saga of N636 million.
