Gary Cahill hits out at Maurizio Sarri over a lack of respect at Chelsea (Metro)

Chelsea’s club captain Gary Cahill has accused Maurizio Sarri of a lack of respect for ostracising him from the first-team despite his past achievements with the club.

The 33-year-old has barely featured for Chelsea this season, making only seven appearances in all competitions, the last of which was against PAOK in the Europa League back in November.

Cahill has been restricted to just 21 minutes of Premier League football, coming on as a substitute during Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with West Ham at the end of September.

After seven-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge, Cahill is set to leave in the summer and he admitted that he is keen to forget his final year at the club. Read more
