Gary Neville believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given the Manchester United job on a permanent basis after transforming the mood around the club since taking over as a caretaker.

Solskjaer has made a huge impact since replacing Jose Mourinho as United’s boss in December, winning 11 of his 14 games in all competitions and losing just once to PSG.

Sunday’s hard-fought 0-0 draw against Liverpool at Old Trafford ensured that Solskjaer set a new Premier League record for most points won after ten games with 26.

United supporters sang Solskjaer’s name throughout the game and Neville believes that there would be a ‘mutiny’ amongst the club’s fanbase if the Norwegian isn’t appointed on a permanent basis. Read more
