Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has questioned Fred’s start at Old Trafford and says the midfielder is not living up to his £52million price tag.
The 25-year-old has flattered to deceive since moving to the Theatre of Dreams from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk last summer.
Fred’s made just three starts since his move and was an unused substitute in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to rivals Manchester City.
United fans are yet to see the best of Fred and Neville has questioned what he brings to the side.
