Gianfranco Zola believes Kurt Zouma will eventually lose his place at Chelsea following their 4-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
Frank Lampard’s side slumped to a heavy loss at Old Trafford following two goals from Marcus Rashford along with strikes from Anthony Martial and Daniel James.
Zouma, who spent last season on loan at Everton, gave away a penalty in the first half for a clumsy foul on Rashford, who struck his spot-kick high past Kepa Arrizabalaga to put United in front.
The French defender partnered Andreas Christensen against United but Zola feels Antonio Rudiger, who underwent knee surgery in April, will play alongside the Denmark international at the heart of Chelsea’s defence once he regains his fitness. Read more
