GloRilla has seemingly revealed that she is pregnant, but her fans are convinced that the baby bump is a fake.
On Wednesday (October 23), the Memphis rapper took the internet by surprise by posting two pictures of herself looking heavily pregnant.
While the Instagram post featured no caption, Glo later wrote on her Instagram Stories: “Was so sick of hiding & sucking my stomach in lol.”
Fans, and even fellow rappers, were unconvinced that the 25-year-old is actually pregnant, though, especially considering she was seen with a flat stomach during recent performances and public appearances.
“Gloria gone on,” Latto commented, while Maxo Kream wrote: “I know yu lyin.”
Someone else added: “Girl you was not pregnant last week at homecoming [crying face emoji] in Huntsville Alabama don’t play with me sis lol.”
Others speculated that it was an elaborate Halloween costume, with one writing: “U a Baby momma for Halloween sis?”
GloRilla just recently discussed her desire to start a family but was honest about not wanting to go through pregnancy herself.
Speaking to Charlamagne Tha God for his Out of Context podcast, she said: “I do want to have kids, but not my own kids. I wanna do the surrogate. I want somebody else to have my baby.
“I want them to have my DNA, but I don’t want to have it. I just don’t want to actually have a baby. All of my friends got kids and they’re restricted a lot when they’re pregnant. [Nine months] is too long.”
She also rapped about wanting to have her tubes tied — a procedure that is the female equivalent of a vasectomy — on her recent Latto collaboration “Procedure”: “This n-gga tryna get me pregnant, I need to tie my tubes.”
The “F.N.F.” hitmaker previously caused controversy after joking about having multiple abortions.
After Sexyy Red debuted her baby bump on social media last year, GloRilla shut down speculation that she was the next female rap star to fall pregnant by joking: “Stop asking am I next y’all kno what I do. I damn near gotta membership at dat place,” referencing the abortion clinic. (HipHopDx)
