Grime artist Solo 45 sentenced to 24 years in jail after being found guilty of rape

Andy Anokye, also known as grime artist Solo 45, has been jailed for 24 years after being found guilty of rape.

The performer was Thursday sentenced at Bristol Crown Court for raping four women and holding them against their will.

Earlier this year, the 33-year-old – who is from London but had a flat in Bristol – was found guilty of 30 charges relating to a two-year period.

Anokye was unanimously convicted in March by a jury of seven men and five women of 21 rapes, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration and two of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. (Metro)
