Guns N’ Roses on Tuesday released its slate of tour dates for this year, a five-month trail that will stretch through Israel, Europe and North America.
The heavy metal staple – which includes lead singer Axl Rose, 61, bassist Duff McKagan, 59, and guitarist Slash, 57 – will begin their string of shows with a June 5 date in Tel Aviv, Israel ahead of a 15-concert European leg that will include stops in London, Rome and Paris.
Beginning August 5, the band will commence with the European leg of the tour in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada for a 22-date stretch that ends in Vancouver October 16.
Guns N’ Roses last toured North America on its We’re F’N Back! Tour in 2021, the same year the released their first new track in 13 years with the song Absurd.
The announcement of the tour comes more than two months after Rose revealed he would cease tossing his microphone into the audience after a fan was injured in a show.
‘It’s come to my attention that a fan may have been hurt at r show in Adelaide Australia possibly being hit by the microphone at the end of the show when I traditionally toss the mic to the fans,’ the front man said in a December 2 tweet.
The singer of classics such as Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O’ Mine and November Rain said that the decision was one of safety over showmanship.
‘Having tossed the mic at the end of r show for over 30 years we always felt it was a known part of the very end of r performance that fans wanted and were aware of to have an opportunity to catch the mic,’ Rose said.
He continued: ‘Regardless in the interest of public safety from now on we’ll refrain from tossing the mic or anything to the fans during or at r performance.’
Rose earlier this month took to Twitter to thank fans for their well wishes as he celebrated his 61st birthday. (DailyMail)
