The rising wave of unruly passenger behaviour in Nigeria’s aviation sector escalated on Sunday when a female traveller, identified as Ms. Comfort Emmanson, allegedly assaulted crew members aboard an Ibom Air Uyo–Lagos flight.
According to the airline, the incident began shortly before take-off when Ms. Emmanson was instructed regarding the standard aviation safety rules to switch off her mobile phone.
She reportedly refused until the Pilot-in-Command intervened, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her switched it off. (TheNation)
