How Mouratoglou is using Serena, Djokovic & Murray to help Tsitsipas rule tennis (Metro)

Patrick Mouratoglou is dreaming big for Stefanos Tsitsipas. The leading light in his five-player ‘Team Mouratoglou’ – namely Tsitsipas, Cory “Coco” Gauff, Rudolph Molleker, Alexei Popyrin and “Jason” Tseng Chun-hsin – chosen to represent his academy on the highest stage.

It’s hoped that all will reach the very top of the sport. It’s expected Tsitsipas – who will contest the Estoril Open final on Sunday – will win a Grand Slam title.

“For him… I mean he aims at Grand Slams. He’s right to do. He’s always aimed at Grand Slams,” Mouratoglou exclusively tells Metro.co.uk at his academy last month. “Definitely it’s his goal to win Slams. I think he can and I think he should. We’ll see.

“If he wants to fulfil his full potential – and he wants to – then he has to become a Grand Slam winner. But he’s not the only one. There are a few others. It’s going to be a good fight in the future, I think it’s very exciting…” Read more
