No Hard Feelings starring Jennifer Lawrence has topped the Netflix film chart in the US.
Directed by Gene Stupnitsky (Jury Duty), the raunchy comedy follows 32-year-old Uber driver Maddie (Lawrence) who answers an advert to date a shy 19-year-old called Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman) in order to boost his confidence before college.

Liberian President George Weah will face off against challenger Joseph Boakai for the second time in a Nov. 14 runoff vote, election officials in the West African nation said Tuesday.

Now in post, “The Letter” was produced by Edgar, who is hard of hearing, and directed by Sam Dore, with an entire cast and crew of deaf artists.
Written by deaf writer Julian Peedle-Calloo, “The Letter” follows the struggle of deaf people who fought back against Nazis’ oppression during the war. Chad’s transitional government installed a civilian defense minister Monday to prepare for a return to constitutional rule. The move comes amid fresh protests and accusations that the military junta is intimidating and silencing the opposition ahead of December’s constitutional referendum and elections.
Chad’s Transitional Military Council says Dago Yacouba officially took up the post on Monday. President Mahamat Idriss Deby appointed Yacouba on October 21 to help fight armed gangs and rebel groups and maintain peace as the central African state military junta prepares for a constitutional referendum on December 17.

Iran’s judiciary identified Monday a suspect in the stabbing death of director Dariush Mehrjui and his wife as a former domestic worker, saying the motive may have been a financial row.
Mehrjui, 83, and his wife Vahideh Mohammadifar, a 54-year-old screenwriter, were stabbed to death on October 14 at their home in Karaj, a city in Alborz province west of Tehran.
“The defendants were already familiar with the deceased”, official news agency IRNA quoted Alborz province chief justice Hossein Fazeli-Harikandi as saying. Read more

10 die of heart attacks within 24 hours at ‘‘garba’’ events in Gujarat (National)
At least 10 people, including a boy of 13, have died from heart attacks after taking part in the traditional garba dances in India’s western state of Gujarat, local media reported on Monday.
Garba is a high-energy traditional Gujarati dance performed during the nine-day Hindu festival of Navaratri to celebrate the goddess Durga.
Every year, large garba events held in parks and community halls across Gujarat, as well as other parts of the country, draw large crowds of people dressed in traditional costumes who dance in groups for hours through the evening and night. Read more

It seemed an undisputed clash between Fury and Usyk would never happen after months of failed negotiations, but they officially agreed to a deal last month. Former India cricket captain Bishan Singh Bedi dies aged 77 (AlJazeera)
Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi, who was known for being part of a famous spin quartet, has died at the age of 77, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) says in a statement.
Bedi claimed 266 wickets in 67 Tests, leading the team on 22 occasions after succeeding Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi as captain.
