There was some twitter frenzy a few days after the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), when a female director reported that someone who was at the AMVCA and who mingled with other attendees may have come down with Covid 19.
The person who had only recently returned from the UK was, however, refusing to surrender himself to the health authorities for a test.
It took her calling him out on twitter and making a formal report for this person to be taken in by the NCDC and the Lagos state Ministry of Health.
Five days later and 10 days after the AMVCA Prof Abayomi, Lagos state Commissioner of Health has confirmed that the individual has actually tested positive for Covid 19.
So, if you were at AMVCA and no matter whether you met this individual or not, you need to go into quarantine and then get tested if you present symptoms.
