The governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha, has given executive approval for the complete payment of salaries to the workers of the state.
The governor’s approval was conveyed in a circular addressed to senior civil servants by the Accountant General of state, Donald Igbo.
The memo which was dated August 5 was sighted by our correspondent in Owerri on Friday.
The circular partly read “I am directed to refer to government House letter No GH/PL/S111/141 dated 1st August 2019, on the above subject and convey His Excellency’s v,Hon Emeka Nkem Ihedioha ,Governor of Imo state approval to commence the payment of 100% salaries to Imo state workers,with effect from 1st August,2019.” Read more
