Jimi Agbaje, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, has insisted that he will win next month’s election because he has all it takes to emerge victorious.
Agbaje who spoke at a debate organised by The Platform in Lagos, again restated his commitment and chances as a frontline candidate, given his personality and track record.
He also dismissed speculations that he is a seasonal politician, insisting that he is a busy politician who continues to engage with people and organisations for the good of Lagos and Nigeria in general.
“In the first place, it is not correct to say I go to bed after every election. After 2015, I have been out there doing one thing or the other.
“If you remember, I was on The Platform a few years ago. I have also been mentoring people. So, it is wrong to assume that I always disappear.
“I ran my party’s chairmanship election, that’s engagement. In 2015, we ran a very good race. This year, our chances are brighter. We have a very strong believe that we will win. Our only fear is the level of compliance by the agencies responsible for the conduct of the elections, but we will win,” he maintained.
