Grammy-nominated singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has asserted that he is the greatest of all time (GOAT) in the Nigerian music industry.
The Nation reported that Davido downplayed the comparison between himself, Burna Boy, and Wizkid as they are often referred to as the ‘big three’ of afrobeat music lovers.
In a TikTok video shared by British-Nigerian content creator Shopsydoo, Davido bragged about being the only “GOAT” in Nigeria.
“There is only one GOAT in my country and it’s me,” he boasted.
Davido had recently stated on an American show, Sway’s Universe, that contrary to assumptions that he, Wizkid, and Burna Boy are currently the three biggest Afrobeats stars in the world, he is the only big Afrobeats artiste. (Nation)
