Imo police ban siren, tinted glass (Punch)

The Imo Police Command has given seven days to vehicle owners to remove unauthorised tinted glasses, revolving lights, sirens, and plate numbers from their vehicles.

It also advised government officials, who use government plate numbers on their personal vehicles, to remove them without further delay.

This, the command said was to check peoples activities before, during and after the forthcoming elections.

According to a statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Godson Ikeokwu, and made available to journalists on Monday, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Dasuki Galadachi, stated that he had directed arrest and prosecution of persons violating the laws guiding the use of such vehicles.
