James Gunn has confirmed that the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is completed following his rehiring last year.
The filmmaker was initially fired from the project over a string of controversial tweets he posted making light of paedophilia and rape. Disney then brought him back on-board in 2019 for Vol 3 of the blockbuster franchise, which will be the final installment.
Responding to questions from fans on Twitter earlier, James shared an update on the status of the sequel and confirmed: ‘Script is written and most of the production heads have been hired.’
When asked if there had been any major changes since he returned to the project, James replied: ‘No very little.’ (Metro)
