Jimoh Ibrahim dedicates victory to God, supporters

Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator-elect for Ondo South Senatorial District in the just concluded National Assembly elections, has expressed appreciation to God for his overwhelming victory at the polls.

The business mogul, while addressing supporters on Wednesday at his University of Fortune, Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State, also thanked all APC chieftains, party faithful, campaign team, supporters and constituents for the massive victory.

The Senator-elect also appreciated  Mr Ade Adetimehin, APC chairman in the state, and chairmen of the six LGA’s of the district: Okitipupa, Irele, Ilaje, Odigbo, Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo and Ese-Odo for unwavering support all through the campaigns and election proper.

Ibrahim thanked the state governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for creating a level playing field for all candidates and enabling environment for peaceful elections throughout the state during the just concluded general elections.

The Senator-elect promised to fulfil all his electioneering promises to constituents, saying that his time would move the district forward.

“”I thank God for giving me victory, I appreciate APC chieftains, campaign team, supporters and all constituents for overwhelming victory.

“I also thank our amiable governor for his unwavering support and for creating enabling environment for peaceful conduct of the elections throughout the state.

“I appreciate my people from Idogun quarters, you are wonderful people because I did not come to you to campaign but you all supported me.

“I will make sure that there is no poor person in Idogun henceforth, I will soon commence tarring of your roads.

“I will also ensure I fulfil all my electioneering promises to constituents and everyone who has worked on this project will be rewarded accordingly ,” he said.

Earlier, Dr. Segun Ayodele, the Director General, Jimoh Ibrahim Campaign Organisation, Aare, had expressed joy that the labour of his principal and that of his organisation were not in vain.

He thanked everyone that made the project a huge success, praying that God would support them in all their endeavours.

Recall that Ibrahim won in all the six LGA’s polling 110, 665 votes to defeat his closest rival, former deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, who scored 65, 784 in  Feb. 25 National Assembly polls.(NAN)
