Jose Mourinho has aimed a fresh dig at his Manchester United squad after admitting that at least six Liverpool stars are more ‘physical’ and ‘intense’ than his own players.
United are now 19 points behind Liverpool following their 3-1 defeat at Anfield on Sunday and are facing a huge battle to secure a top-four place this season.
United were under pressure for large parts of the game and Mourinho conceded that his players struggled to match Liverpool’s fast start to the match.
But Mourinho also singled out Andrew Robertson, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita and Fabinho as players who United are unable to match when it comes to intensity. Read more
