Claudio Ranieri has revealed Jose Mourinho was the first manager to message him welcoming him back to the Premier League.
Fulham appointed Ranieri their head coach last month, sacking Slavisa Jokanovic with Fulham rooted to the bottom of the league table.
Ranieri famously delivered a Premier League title as Leicester City manager, but took up the head coach role at Nantes when he was sacked by Leicester.
Manchester United welcome Fulham to Old Trafford on Saturday and Ranieri said the Red Devils boss was immediately in touch when he got the job at Craven Cottage.
