Jussie Smollett is set for a pay rise on the hit Fox series Empire, after having all charges against him dropped over the alleged hoax attack.
The 36-year-old actor, who plays Jamal Lyon on Empire, faced 16 felony counts for filing a false police report about an allegedly homophobic and racially-charged attack in Chicago in February.
Empire producers have since issued a statement supporting Jussie, stating they are ‘gratified that all charges against him have been dismissed’.
Now, a source reveals Jussie will not only resume his role as Jamal in the musical drama, but will also receive a pay rise. Read more
