Kano Pillars are expected to arrive in Kaduna today to begin the last phase of their preparation for their CAF Champions League qualifying round reverse match against Ashanti Kotoko of Ghana.
While in Kaduna, the team will train behind closed doors, away from all distractions.
A source in the team’s camp disclosed that the team will leave after this morning’s training session, adding that the state government has put everything in place to ensure the players concentrate fully on the task ahead.
Kano Pillars beat Ashanti Kotoko 3-2 in the first leg of the tie in Kano and needs to avoid defeat to qualify for the second round of the competition.
According to the source, “the team will leave Kaduna by 10.00 a.m. on Thursday for Abuja and fly direct to Accra from the Abuja Airport. Read more
