Ketu Ijanikin residents cry out over bad roads (Independent)

The flood in certain parts of Lagos State is fast increasing the spate of suffering for residents as many people could no longer go out of their residence or return without adopting some difficult measures to navigate out of the very bad situation.

In some areas, local canoe services have been put in place by youths who collect some tokens to ferry people in and out of their residence.

For people of Ketu Ijanikin on Lagos – Badagry Road, particularly those living on Faloye Street, the experience in the past months since the rain began has been worse than harrowing as they are literarily held up as “prisoners” in their own environment. Read more
