Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State embarked on a thorough inspection of the under-construction industrial park in Eiyenkorin, Asa Local Government, on a promising Saturday. The industrial park, a transformative project, is poised to be a game-changer for the region.
The governor’s visit to the site marks a crucial step in the realization of this ambitious project. The first phase of construction includes essential components such as a perimeter fence, lay-by, concrete pavement (comprising roads and drainage), a spacious car park, and power supply infrastructure.
Upon its completion, the industrial park will sprawl across a vast expanse of 196 hectares and offer a diverse range of facilities. It is set to house residential buildings, a facility manager’s residence, a dedicated wood processing section, a bustling commercial area, an agroprocessing unit, a metal and minerals processing zone, and a lush green area for relaxation.
This initiative is part of the state government’s strategic plan to leverage the resources available, as it was financed through a recent bond issuance. The primary objective of the industrial park is to bolster Kwara State’s industrial landscape. It is expected to have a far-reaching impact on employment opportunities, wealth creation, and various other benefits for the local community and beyond.
Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, highlighted the significance of this endeavour, underlining the positive transformation it will bring to Kwara State.
