What does Nigeria and Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe have in common? Apparently, so much. For instance, they are both in the same age grade with Nigeria 59 years old, while the book is 60.
But there is more, and LABAF will focus on that in the exhibition titled, AND THE CENTRE REFUSES TO HOLD: Homage to Things Fall Apart @ 60. The exhibition with an eclectic collection of drawings, paintings in various media and technique, sculptures, installations and mixed media, will dwell on post-colonialism in Africa, with Things Fall Apart as the centralising spin-off.
It is curated by Krydz Ikwuemesi for the Pan Africa Press & Sankofa Centre for Art and Heritage.
