A middle-aged lady, Miss Comfort Akpan, 32, has appeared before a Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly pouring urine on two of her neighbours.
She was granted bail in the sum of N100, 000 by presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs. K.B. Ayeye.
According to Police Prosecutor, Thomas Nurudeen, Akpan had poured urine, simultaneously, on the bodies of one Mr. Aminu Abdullahi and Miss Ajadi Ganiya, as well as on the hallway of their residence at 3, Awoseyin Street, Shomolu, Lagos.
The charge, with reference No: 13/288/2018, read in part: “That you, Comfort Akpan, ‘female,’ on the same date and time and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did unlawfully assault one Aminu Abdullahi by pouring urine on his body (and)…did assault one Ajadi Ganiya ‘female’ by pouring urine on her body and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 172 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.” Read more
