Lagos APC Rally: Apathy looms as voters doubt participation in election (Independent)

Following the bloody fight that broke at the flag off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Lagos State, voters have expressed doubt over their security on the election day.

During the rally, no fewer than five people were feared dead from gunshots, with several people, including journalists, sustaining injuries, while many lost their personal effects.

One of the major personalities brutally injured at the rally was a leader of the National Union of Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo.

Reacting, voters said the fight, which was believed to be between the NURTW members, may escalate on election’s day.

They expressed fear that MC Oluomo’s team would likely want to avenge on the election’s day.

One of them, Paul Ed Smith@PaulEdSmith1, said “Lagos is no longer safe because of all these cultists and bad guys who are already strategising for this coming general elections.” Read more
