The Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Hakeem Odumosu, has suggested that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) should be given priority in national issues.
Odumosu stated this, yesterday, when he received the Lagos NYSC State Co-ordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa and his team in his office.
The CP said the scheme had breached disunity among people from the diverse cultures in the country.
Besides, he said that having passed through the rudiment of the national scheme, the importance of the continuity of the NYSC and the virtues it brings in preserving the Nigerian heritage could not be over-emphasised. (Guardian)
