In a night that will be remembered as a pinnacle of Lagos nightlife, the Vintano Hotel in Lekki played host to the highly anticipated Razzmatazz Showcase on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Co-hosted by style icon Prince Folarin Oseni and renowned producer Ayoola Sadare, also known as Shaddie Bobo, the event transformed the hotel into a haven of luxury and entertainment.

Presented by Inspiro Productions, the Razzmatazz Showcase lived up to its promise of delivering a 360-degree luxury lifestyle experience. The event, supported by Vintano Hotel, Planet Afrobeats and Dusse Cognac, drew an elite crowd of Lagos socialites, business moguls and entertainment industry heavyweights.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by a spectacle of glamour. A green carpet complete with paparazzi and a 360-degree photo booth set the tone for an evening of opulence. The hotel lobby buzzed with excitement as multi-instrumentalist Zucky (A-Strings) captivated the audience with his virtuoso performances on violin, piano and guitar. Producer Jesse Bangz added his soulful melodies on the grand piano, while DJ Irawo’s vibrant talking drum beats infused the atmosphere with energy.

The event utilised multiple spaces within the Vintano Hotel to create distinct experiences for guests. The Ziba Lounge on the sixth floor became a karaoke hotspot, with Count Martino leading an interactive session that had guests showcasing their vocal talents. For those seeking a more intimate setting, the Zamora VIP Lounge offered a refined ambiance with music by DJ Vhicka, premium cigars from 2809 Cigars, and friendly games of snooker.

However, it was the poolside area on the fifth floor that truly stole the show. The Elite Band electrified the crowd with dynamic live sets, complemented by the smooth saxophone stylings of Mikifa. A parade of performances followed, featuring emerging talents from the 10Strings Music Institute and established acts like Seun Olota & the Extasi band, Eazyrox, UBX, and Hypeman Rex. The musical offerings spanned genres, creating a rich tapestry of sound that kept the energy high throughout the night.

Adding a unique visual element to the poolside festivities, Delightsome Skaters glided gracefully around the area, their movements a graceful counterpoint to the pulsing music. Fashion also took centre stage, with designer Mercy Ogori’s Kokomi Africa brand presenting a stunning runway show that merged contemporary African designs with high fashion.

No Lagos event would be complete without a touch of comedy, and the Razzmatazz Showcase delivered in spades. The Emir of Lagos and his troupe of comedians had the audience in stitches, providing moments of levity amidst the high-energy performances.

The guest list read like a who’s who of Lagos society, including Chief Bube Okorodudu, Chairman of Cross Country; Deji Ayeni, Chairman of Grand Autos; Prince Princewill Utchay, Chairman of Prime Chinese/Food Ltd; and Ambassador Odims, Chairman of Jay Autos, among many others.
